My Third Months Results on Medium

Still determined while down and out.

To recap, in my first month, I wrote 12 articles and had 11 views, three reads, and gained one fan. My first-month earnings on Medium was $0.01 a penny.

In my second month, I published 14 new articles. I had 1,430 views, 350 reads, and gained 14 fans. In my second month on Medium, I earned $0.36.

In my third month, I published 16 new articles. I had 281 views, 165 reads, and gained 98 fans. My third month’s earnings were $6.43

Breaching the $5.00 plateau comes with inspired feelings. On the one hand, it is a genuine validation. Because it costs me $5.00 per month to be a member of the Medium Partner Program, it feels that I am contributing, pulling my weight.

It also gives me a realistic perspective of the effort needed to increase from that level.

It was exciting to earn a penny in my first month, but now the six dollars feels like I am ready to launch!

I ignore the discouragement from the constant message, “Not distributed in topics.” It appears after every single one. I currently have a total of 42 articles.

Some articles get rejected almost immediately. Others take a full month to get the rejection notice.
