A Case of Coronavirus Being Cured
Here’s how doctors cured the coronavirus in one case.
The first patient in the United States with coronavirus was a 35-year old male who had visited family in Wuhan, China. He returned to the United States on January 15th, 2020. After suffering from cough and flu-like symptoms for four days, he checked himself into an urgent care clinic in Washington State.
The doctors examined him and took a chest x-ray which looked normal. They ran a barrage of tests for different flu viruses and then told him to go home and keep himself in quarantine. Before sending him home, they took a swab to test for 2019-nCoV, the current coronavirus that has been declared a global health emergency by the World Health Organization.
This is not the bland coronavirus that can be killed with a bottle of antiseptic; this is the novel coronavirus virus that has turned Wuhan, a city of 11 million people into a ghost town. Just imagine if they had to quarantine a city larger than the size of New York City or Los Angeles.
