Watching Titanic for the Second Time Made Me Cry More

Last night I watched ‘Titanic.’ The version by James Cameron, starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio.
I remember seeing it at the theater when it was first released in 1997. Wow, twenty-three years ago. I remember the stunning visual impact and rave reviews.
That year at the Academy Awards, the theme song won an Oscar and was performed live by Celine Dion. It was quite the production.
This time was different. I was still impressed by the visuals, and the story pace was just as exciting as ever. But I was a mess. The romance between Jack and Rose had me crying like a baby.
Was it because I knew the tragedy of the story?
I think it went deeper.
