What is my purpose?

To win the world for Jesus Christ?

What does it mean to win the world for Jesus Christ? Billy Graham took a stab at it. Rick Warren does his part. What is my part?

I don’t want to win the world and lose my soul. Win the world in that sense would mean to gain all the pleasures of life without merit.

If it is the Fathers good pleasure to give us the kingdom, then what does such inferred ‘kingdom living’ look like?

Win the world for Christ means to reflect a life and character that communicates to those around me that Jesus is the savior. What does that look like?

Is it Charlie Sheen ‘winning’ at full tilt? Is it the monks who spend all day in work and prayer?

I invite Jesus into my heart and see what happens. He climbs into the belly of my boat and falls asleep. Sometimes he wakes up in a storm. Sometimes he pops his head up from the pool and says, “Now do you know what I mean?”

And I reply, “OOOooohhh, now I get it!”

Sometimes he says, “Wake me up when we get there.”
