What to Do If Your Articles Are Being Ignored
2 simple and effective strategies to get more reads.
We all want more reads. That’s a given. You can publish an article that you’ve spent hours on, only to get one or two views. Some Facebook groups are very selective when it comes to reads. It can be discouraging.
Strategy 1 — Change Your Facebook Audience
Instead of posting to groups aimed directly at writers, try posting to specialized Facebook groups.
Join some Facebook groups that are not explicitly directed at writers. Some examples are investor groups, mastermind groups, and politics based groups. There is a wide range to choose from.
Instructions:
From your Facebook home page, type any word into the top search bar. I will use the example of ‘politics.’ When you hit enter, you will see a list of posts appear, and the top menu bar will change. The menu bar will read: All, Posts, People, Photos, Videos, Marketplace, Pages, Place, Groups, Apps, Events, Links.
Click on groups, and you will see a long list of groups to choose from. Each will show you how many posts per day are made for that group. Pick a moderate size group that accepts links to Medium stories, and you are in business. As…
