Your Clapping Is All Wrong. Here’s How to Fix It.

I have a confession to make. While clapping for other writers, I was manually clicking my mouse. Probably I looked like that grandma raising her spectacles and looking into the ‘internets.’ “I’m getting tired of all this dang clicking.”

I didn’t know I could just hold down the mouse button on the clap icon, and it would ‘clap’ for me automatically.

Pretty ridiculous, I know, right? But I bet there are at least a few writers out there who are saying, “Whaaa? No, shit.”

Yes. The shit. Now we both feel stupid.

Anyway, that’s not important.

What is important is a couple of things.

First. Medium doesn’t pay based on claps anymore. It’s based on reading time.
